RV into Mexico

Hi everyone,

Before I go any further I just wanted to say how much I love Mexico and have traveled throughout the country without any difficulty. Not recently though. I will definitely do so again but armed with current reliable information the same way that I would do when traveling to any country.  It’s just a smart thing to do.

I recently received an email from one of our readers who passed on the name of a forum  – Baja Nomads and said it was very helpful for him when planning his trip to the Baja.  I appreciate receiving this kind of information.

He also wanted to know if I knew of a forum he could get involved with for the mainland of Mexico and because I am sure there are others who are interested I’m sharing it here.

I have traveled throughout Mexico but never to the Baja – it’s on our list though and appreciate knowing about the Baja Nomads. (just so you know I am not affiliated with them – just like to pass on helpful info)

I did a couple of searches and came up with a bit of information that may prove to be helpful.

RVNet.com is a fairly active forum for Mexico and Central America as well as everything else related to RVing. I have recently gotten involved in this forum and find everyone to be really good.

Years ago when I first went to Mexico in an RV my bible were Mexico Mikes guide books – They were excellent and entertaining as well. I used them to guide a group of fellow travelers down to the Yucatan which was a lot of fun. There were things like “at the next tree turn right…” But that was many years ago and although they were fun I am sure the updated versions are even better. http://www.mexicomike.com/books/rvnew.htm (Once again – no affiliation, just like his stuff)

This book comes highly recommended – Mike and Terri Church are very experienced and their books come highly recommended.

Travelers Guide to Mexican camping by Mike and Terri Church comes very highly recommended so I don’t hesitate to recommend it. I have posted it on my RV Library page for you to look at.
