Well winter appears to have arrived!

In case you aren’t aware of it, we have sold our house and are currently living in our “new to us” fifth wheel. We are staying in Kamloops, in the interior of British Columbia until the 25th of this month and then heading down to the lower mainland near the border.

Our next destination may be in Mexico if we can get a few things straightened out with their new “enforced” law that doesn’t allow 3/4 or 1 ton trucks into Mexico. It doesn’t make sense but read more about it here . I even did a video if anyone is interested. We have decided not to give up though and will try our best to take our fifth wheel into Mexico for 3 months this winter. I’ll keep everyone up to date on what is happening – just in case you are in the same situation we are.

I’m not affiliated with RV Share but this post about saving money with RV Share makes sense so thought some of you may find it interesting.

I am once again sharing the Geo Method of taking care of your RV tanks because we are using it and absolutely love the fact that we don’t use chemicals and have absolutely no odour.

Almost every day I receive emails filled with questions about SOLO RVing and would like to hear from those who travel SOLO or those who are considering it. I am working on a project that will address some of the questions I get asked and would like to interview some SOLO RVers. Please email me at carolann@roamingrv.com and I will get back to you.

The park we are staying in has many RVers from Alberta and northern BC – all getting ready to head south – watch out the Snowbirds are on their way! 🙂

By the way Blab has been cancelled. It’s no longer available online.

1.  Our plans to spend the winter in Mexico are squashed.

I was very excited when Barry said he wanted to go to Mexico this winter – with our RV! That is almost unheard of and believe me I never hesitated. My response was YES! Then started the research and plans for leaving Canada at the beginning of December and spending Christmas, January, February and March on Mainland Mexico preferably near Puerto Vallarta.

2.  Renting an RV while Saving Money?

As RVing continues to explode in popularity around the country, a greater number of people are looking into both buying and renting RVs. The perks of traveling in an RV can certainly be enormous, but if you’re new to the concept, you may be a little cautious about making such a large investment without trying it first. Renting an RV can be a great way to try out the RVing lifestyle without committing to a purchase.

3. The Geo Method – Maintaining RV Wastewater Tanks
I recently discovered this on an RV forum and can’t believe I haven’t heard of it before and am so impressed I would like to share it with everyone. Let me know what you think.

4. Solo RVers – you don’t need to be alone.
I receive a lot of emails and questions from solo RVers or singles who wish to meet people and are concerned about being alone on the road and are concerned that they will be lonely or find the lifestyle difficult. Those worries are very valid and shouldn’t be ignored. I also know there are people with low self esteem, are shy or aren’t comfortable in a social setting. That doesn’t mean they can’t meet people or have to be lonely.

5. Why doesn’t your partner want to full-time RV?
I’m not sure what the reason is but I am hearing more and more of couples who have serious disagreements about whether they retire to an RV and full-time. One wants to sell everything and buy an RV and the other say a big NO! How do they get around this big obstacle?

How do you solve the problem?- READ MORE

Happy travels,
