Christine Lindstrom loves sharing her way of life with others and guiding them toward a future that they can fully enjoy with their families or just with themselves. Why are you giving advice on Roaming RV? RVing isn't just a hobby for me -- it's a way of life! I've been a full-time RVer for about 6 years and I have learned A LOT about RVs in that time. I also remember how intimidating it all was at first. I had a lot of help to learn and I want to pass that help along to others. The RVing community is unlike any other community I've ever been a part of. I hope more people can discover it for themselves! Do you camp off grid or always have hookups? We like to mix it up. Hookups are very practical, of course, but we love that we don't always need them. Boondocking gives us opportunities to get off the beaten path and into some of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. It's always a relief to be surrounded by rows of trees and not rows of other RVs. Then again, when we come back to RV parks, it's a relief to not have to pay so much attention to tank space and if we're getting enough sun on our solar panels to charge our batteries. Variety is key! What is the most luxurious RV resort you've visited? Luxury isn't really something we seek out very often. Being able to pursue this lifestyle is luxury enough, and spending less on resorts means we can work less, which is also a luxury. That being said, I'd have to say, the most luxurious resort we've stayed with our RV is probably the Fort Wilderness campground at Disney World. That was worth the splurge! What is one piece of advice you'd give people that want to start RVing? My best advice if you're a complete RV newbie is to rent an RV and try it out before you buy one. There are many different kinds and sizes of RVs and no matter how much advice you seek out, no one can tell you what will fit you best. It's all a matter of personal preferences and priorities. Use some of the peer-to-peer rental platforms to try out different types and learn what you like and don't like. Also if you have friends who have more experience, book sites together at a park nearby for your first time so that you have someone nearby who can help you figure things out.
