The good weather has finally arrived and it’s time to drag out the camping gear or your RV and make sure it’s ready so you can head out at the drop of a hat.
Now you just have to figure out where you will go and it’s usually not that difficult to decide. Weekenders can head out to the lake or campground and do some boating or swimming and generally relax around the bonfire. My favourite thing to do when camping is sit by the fire, roasting weiners and relaxing. There is something about a nice fire and a good hot dog that can’t be duplicated at home.
Camping is more fun when it can be done over a longer period of time and you can settle in by the lake for a week or so or get to take your RV on a tour. It really doesn’t matter as long as a person gets away.
Breakfast is the best though. I can almost smell the bacon that is cooking over the camp stove and see the potatoes being fried in the pan. It is strange but I am not as fussy when the eggs are cooked over the fire than at home. At home they have to be perfect before I can eat them but give me a fried egg when I am camping and I am in heaven.
So dust off the cob webs, make sure there aren’t any leaks, load up some food and get out there!
Happy camping! Have fun!
